Short days and long nights, glowing sunsets, a crystal clear moon casting night time shadows. January hath its frozen charms. For me it's a good time for contemplation and reflection, a quieter time to gather thoughts, to really taste that morning sip of coffee. Warmer months will come and I will enjoy them too. But since January is here I may as well go along with its icy flow, afghan around shoulders, from my warmly glowing home.

Left is a new pattern, Country Garden, using fabrics from my newest collection, Rhapsody. The pattern is ready and can be purchased below. Rhapsody, through Northcott Fabrics, can be previewed either right here (below or on the index) or at Northcott's web site. It's in shops now. I hope you'll take a look!

Coming soon through Northcott are Groovin' and Bollywood Bliss. Groovin' will be in shops this February, while Bollywood's debut will arrive later this winter/ spring.

You may have read right here that I participated in a contest Janome was running, the

"Friend-to-Friend Challenge". There were some wonderful prizes, including sewing machines and, if I may say, Quilt Poetry patterns as well as fabric.

A lucky quilter reached the "Friend-to-Friend" goal last month. And it was a pleasure participating in the contest. If there's another, I'll let you know!
